Dr. James M. Crouse is a native of Salisbury. He graduated from Wicomico High School in 1978 and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland at College Park. Dr. Crouse attended dental school at the University of Maryland at Baltimore, graduating magna cum laude in 1985.
He joined the United States Air Force after dental school and completed a one-year general practice residency at Barksdale AFB hospital in 1986. Dr. Crouse practiced general dentistry at RAF Bentwaters in the United Kingdom for three years and then left for orthodontic training. The Air Force sponsored Dr. Crouse’s orthodontic training at Emory University in Atlanta, from which he graduated in 1991. He spent the next three years as the orthodontic consultant at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany.
In 1994, Dr. Crouse left the Air Force to return home to practice with Dr. Alfred Beattie. Dr. Beattie retired in 1995.

In his spare time, Dr. Crouse enjoys scuba diving, riding his Harley, and traveling with his wife and two daughters.

The Brace Place helped both of my sons with their orthodontic needs. It is a neat place to go to with positive vibes. Dr, Crouse was very professional and personable. The technicians were also kind and helpful. There was only a short wait for our appointment, 5 minutes max. The offices are decorated in a cool ocean theme and clean. The front staff was always welcoming, organized, and easy to schedule with, regardless of whether you were there in person, calling in, or texting. My oldest son needed several years before reaching his goal, despite the flat fee. Dr, Crouse kept motivating him to finish his Invisalign, which he we did. Our family had a wonderful experience with the Brace Place and I would highly recommend them to meet your orthodontic needs.
The Brace Place front-end staff members are very friendly. and put you at ease. Dr. Crouse and the technical girls are equally friendly and explain everything about the process. I was in and out out with my aligners in no time. Everyone contributes to making the experince a pleasant one.
